* B.A. from Cornell University
Jordan grew up in the northern suburbs of Chicago and began taking piano lessons at age six. After high school, where he played piano in his school’s jazz band and served as Music President of his show choir, Jordan moved to Ithaca, NY to study history and English at Cornell University. In college Jordan became Musical Director of his a cappella group, Last Call, and arranged a wide range of vocal music, including Bruno Mars’ “Uptown Funk” and an original song. He also spent time playing piano in Cornell’s Trommer Jazz Combo and took songwriting and music production courses.
Jordan moved to NYC in January to pursue music and songwriting. He has a wealth of teaching experience, from working as a fellow at the Breakthrough Collaborative in Cambridge, MA to tutoring undergraduate and graduate students at Cornell’s Knight Institute for Writing, and is excited to share his passion for music with his students at Music Beans!
