Jie ZhuEducation:
Jie Zhu is a pianist and music educator in the US east coast area. She has actively performed in multiple stages all over the world, including solo performance and chamber music. She has won awards in competitions in ZhongSin International Music Competition and Hong Kong International Music Festival. Jie has also enrolled in music festivals such as the Cremona Music Festival, Amalfi Coast Music Festival, etc. Jie has over 5 years of experience teaching piano in private lessons and group classes and is a member of the Music Teachers National Association as well as the Massachusetts Music Teachers Association. She has taught music and piano in the Boston Public Schools and is actively involved in various music education conferences, such as MA Music Educators State Conference, MTNA conference, etc. Jie enjoys working with students of all ages and hopes to inspire creative thinking, efficient learning, and confidence in all that they pursue. Jie holds a double master’s degree in Piano Performance and Music Education from Longy School of Music of Bard College and received B.A. in Music Education in China. Her most influential teachers have been Esther Ning Yau, Rieko Aizawa and Wayman Chin. |
