YU-CHEN, MIMI, LINMiMi is a refined musician, active researcher and creative educator. She believes music is one of most intuitive human expressions and the most wonderful gift in human life. As a music teacher, Yu-Chen emphasizes the importance of movement and world music in piano and music teaching. She has developed diverse curricula, such as “Music and Movement”, “The World and Me”, group and applied piano classes to foster students’ musical development. As a collegiate instructor, Yu-Chen has taught applied piano lesson at Columbia University and has been teaching and supervising music education majors at the Pennsylvania State University. Besides teaching, Yu-Chen also actively devotes herself in research specialized in early childhood and multicultural music education.
